We try to bring a glimmer of joy, hope and comfort to those in need in our community.

1 SOUP KITCHEN

Soup & bread are served to approx. 150 homeless and unemployed people from the soup kitchen which is situated at the taxi rank. Five local churches are involved ,we have a turn every Friday.
Jerseys and blankets are handed out before winter, and meals served at Easter and Christmas.

2. ATLANTIS CRECHES

We support two crèches in Atlantis. Whatever their needs are – maintenance of buildings, educational toys for the children, food and clothing, etc.

3. TYGERBERG FLOWER MINISTRY – CANCER WARD

Posies are made and delivered every week. Each patient gets a posy, magazines and a tract with a reassuring message.

4. TYGERBEARS TRAUMA UNIT – TYGERBERG HOSPITAL

This is where traumatised children are treated. We supply them with Comfort packs containing toiletries, also pyjamas, knitted teddy bears, and sometimes instant foods.

5. THUTHUZELA TRAUMA UNIT - KARL BREMER HOSPITAL

We supply this unit with Comfort packs containing toiletries, also underclothing, toys, sweets and instant foods for the traumatised adults and children.
In addition to the above, we assist with various other needs in the community.
