Information: The Methodist Church has had a significant impact on who I am today for so many reasons. It was through the witness of Sunday School teachers and youth leaders that I came to Christ when I was 12. It was through a Methodist youth camp that I came to experience what some call the 'baptism in the Holy Spirit'. It was a Methodist church that supported me when I joined a mission organisation called Youth with a Mission (YWAM), a Methodist Church that afford me the opportunity to enter the ministry as a Youth pastor, the same church that encouraged and supported me to do a Bth. through UNISA and later my Bth (Hons.) Whilst I have spent some time in Anglican and Charismatic churches since, most of my ministry has been spent in Methodist Churches. Vredenburg/Langebaan, Claremont and now Durbanville (since 2003). All this said, I have chosen not to be ordained, as I believe I am to minister to the church wherever it is, not specifically the Methodist Church.

Married to Liszl (since 1996), we are the proud parents of 3 sons, Nathan, Timothy and Benjamin. Family is my first priority and where I believe, like all fathers, I am to minister first. Like their mom, my boys love going out and family outings are expected, looked forward to and savored. Each of my boys are now coffee shop friendly! I am a bit of a health nut, love the outdoors and enjoy sports of many kinds. But time allows me to go to gym a couple of times a week and have the odd game of squash with my colleagues, when they are desperate enough to play with me. In terms of church life, I am sold out on small groups! I believe small groups meeting in peoples homes on a regular basis is the best possible expression of Church. I am also completely committed to the church's responsibility to engage in mission and social action. We exist as a people to reach out to those outside the church with compassionate acts of service and the good news of Jesus. DMC has truly become a spiritual home to my whole family, and I feel so blessed to have a job that involves journeying together with fellow Christians as we seek to grow closer to Jesus and be faithful disciples in a world we don't call home.
