Information: I have been a member at Durbanville Methodist Church since 1995 and have been involved in various aspects of the life of DMC over the years such as Sunday School and Alpha in the early years. In 2000 I started sensing that God was calling me to preaching and since 2004 I have been serving as a Local Preacher which for me is an incredible privilege. I am studying towards a correspondence degree in theology to better equip me for this calling.
My understanding of the church is that it is us who are the church, not the building where we meet and each one of us is called and equipped to go out and be living witnesses for Jesus Christ. I believe that the church plays a vitally important role in providing a stable and secure foundation to give all people and especially young people, a reference point on which to base their lives.
In being a Society Steward I see this as God’s call on me to serve Him and the church further in whatever ways I can, knowing that when He calls He also equips.
